On Thursday, March 12, 2020, the New Hampshire Insurance Department is going live on the newest version of State Based
Systems (SBS), a web-based NAIC application that supports state insurance regulation functions. This transition will require the temporary shutdown of New Hampshire’s professional insurance licensing operations, including online applications submitted via NIPR. Key dates and times include:
Friday, March 6th at 1:00 p.m. EST: NIPR stops accepting online submissions (applications, appointments and terminations, and contact change requests) that affect the New Hampshire Insurance Department SBS database.
Friday, March 6th at 5:00 p.m. EST: New Hampshire’s professional insurance licensing operations using SBS will be unavailable.
Thursday, March 12th at 5:00 a.m. EST: New Hampshire’s professional insurance licensing operations are available using SBS and NIPR begins accepting online submissions.
Changes for Companies: Effective March 12, 2020, all active companies will be assigned a new New Hampshire company number. Look up your new company number using the free Lookup tool on the SBS website. Your NAIC company number will remain the same.
Licensees Please Note: License numbers are changing to the NPN – only one number is now needed.
